Garden Room Crafts is run from the lovely studio space in our garden. It’s a tranquil, mindful place that offers a happy homely feel to our visitors.

New crafters can be assured of a friendly welcome and a comfortable space for even the most nervous of beginners. We all feel committed to sharing and teaching crafting to everyone. Using our many talents between us, we offer numerous different crafts, with visiting specialists and teachers for all the other crafts that we offer in the room!

India specialises in crotchet. She has an amazing talent for the craft, building and designing her own patterns. She has a patient and caring attitude towards those wanting to learn to crotchet, keeping classes to a maximum of 2 or 3 to enable those learning the full attention required for a successful outcome. India also encourages her new crocheters to return to the open craft evenings, where they can bring back any on going projects for her to keep an eye on and help over any pattern queries.

Ambers creative background began in hairdressing as a colour technician, and then becoming a floral designer, working with Stef on many Weddings and events. She has a love of all things natural, vintage and unique. She has a passion for upcycling and recycling, breathing new life into old things. Amber offers workshops in Macrame, Dreamcatchers and different fresh/dried/faux floral arrangements.

Stef comes from a floral background, having been a florist and floral designer for many years. She also has many different crafting skills including willow weaving, basket making, decomesh and felting. She runs classes in both wet felting and needle felting as well as all the floristry/ flowery things. Stef likes to run taster sessions of many of her crafts to be able to give people a ‘go’ with the emphasis on fun.

 

We are always exploring new ideas and are happy to hear from anyone that can offer classes in just about any crafts. We also love to learn new crafts ourselves!
